Samsung is gearing up to roll out an update for its Samsung Health app with version 6.30.2.027. The app will introduce a bunch of powerful health-tracking features such as Vascular Load, Running Coach, and Antioxidant Index. The Korean firm will likely push the new version simultaneously with the One UI 8 Watch beta update to eligible Galaxy Watch devices in the coming weeks.

New Samsung Health app update to enable powerful health features on your Galaxy Watch

In its One UI 8 Watch announcement post, Samsung gave us a sneak peek at Samsung Health’s new features. It aims to offer its users a suite of advanced features that support sleep, heart health, fitness, and nutrition. The company promises to make these features available to users who participate in the upcoming beta program.

Now, ahead of the official rollout, tipster @theordysm managed to install the unreleased version of the Samsung Health app, offering an early look at the new features in action. They spotted these features within the Labs section of the app.

One of the new features, called Vascular Load, helps users to measure stress on the vascular system during sleep. Speaking of how it works, you need to first set your baseline by wearing your Galaxy Watch while you sleep for at least 3 nights. The app’s track trends will compare your daily results according to your baseline. It will then determine if your vascular health is improving or getting worse.

Another new feature called Running Coach helps you start your smarter running journey. It starts with a 12-minute run to measure your current fitness level. Based on your results, you can choose from over 160 personalized training plans tailored to your running level. The third new feature, called Antioxidant Index, measures carotenoid levels for healthy aging. You can read more about these features in our previous article.

Since these features are part of One UI 8 Watch, the Samsung Health app update (6.30.2.027) will roll out to Galaxy Watch users running the next-generation wearable software. The good news is you won’t have to wait long — Samsung will soon open its smartwatch beta program. The company has already made its US Community forum page live, suggesting the first beta update is just around the corner.
