Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra Nearing Launch with Key Approvals

Samsung has at least two new flagship Android tablets in the pipeline. While the Galaxy Tab S11 and Tab S11 Ultra may not debut at next month’s Unpacked event, both devices are still on track for a launch later this year. The Ultra model recently secured a key regulatory certification, indicating that development and testing are progressing rapidly.
Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra picks up the BIS certification for its battery
The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) recently certified a battery pack with model numbers EB-BX936ABE and EB-BX936ABY. Manufactured by China’s ATL, this battery pack is intended for an upcoming Samsung product, with the model numbers hinting at the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra (SM-X936). The same agency previously certified batteries for the base Tab S11 (SM-X736).
The listings do not reveal anything more, not even the battery capacity. However, it’s an indication of the ongoing development and testing of these devices. Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy Tab S11 series in the second half of the year, possibly around September or October.
As of this writing, there’s no evidence of a Plus model in the lineup. Samsung may skip it. launching only two models. Interestingly, it skipped the Galaxy Tab S10 last year and launched the S10+ and S10 Ultra. Perhaps it’s a strategic decision based on market demands. Things should get clearer in the coming weeks as the company ramps up the testing of the new tablets.
Meanwhile, Samsung is gearing up to unveil a host of new products at its Unpacked event on July 9. The Korean behemoth will launch the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Flip 7, Flip 7 FE, Galaxy Watch 8, Watch 8 Classic, and Watch Ultra (2025). There may be more surprise hardware announcements, along with the official debut of One UI 8 and One UI 8 Watch. A lot to look forward to for Galaxy fans.
Thanks, @KeepUPwithOneUI!
