Samsung Galaxy Weekly Updates Roundup (March 22-29)

One UI 8.5 Beta saw a major expansion this week, with devices like the Galaxy S24, S24 FE, S25 FE and more joining the program. Samsung clearly seems serious about this expansion. However, this also suggests that the stable rollout may get delayed, likely till May, and could even overlap with One UI 9. We also saw March and February 2026 security patch updates rolling out to several devices. Last updated on March 29.
One UI 8.5 Beta expands as stable rollout may be delayed and security updates continue
The Galaxy S25, S25+ and S25 Ultra received the One UI 8.5 Beta 8 update in Korea, Germany, the United States and the United Kingdom. India and Poland received the same update labeled as Beta 7. Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 users also got the second One UI 8.5 Beta update in eligible regions.

Samsung has now expanded the One UI 8.5 Beta program to the Galaxy S24 series, S24 FE, S25 FE and the Tab S11 series. The company wants to run beta testing on a larger scale to gather user feedback and fix issues before the stable release. Samsung has also confirmed that more devices will join the beta program in April.
However, there is a strong possibility that the One UI 8.5 stable rollout may get delayed, leading to confusion similar to One UI 7. With more devices entering beta and multiple updates expected for each model, most of April could be occupied. This means the stable rollout may begin around early to mid-May for the Galaxy S25 series and a few other models, although nothing is confirmed yet. Budget devices may receive the update even later unless Samsung speeds things up.

As for One UI 9, Samsung is expected to debut the stable version alongside its next foldables, likely around July. The One UI 9 beta for the Galaxy S26 series, if it begins, could roll out around June. Around the same time, Samsung may still be expanding the One UI 8.5 rollout to more A, M and F series devices, which could create some overlap and confusion.

We track only major regional rollouts and first update releases for each model. If we missed any device, feel free to DM me on X @Mohammed_K_2010. These security updates have rolled out in one or more regions, and if you haven’t received them yet, you should get them in the coming weeks.
If you own any of these devices, you can check for updates by going to Settings > Software update > Download and install. Once downloaded, tap Install now. Make sure your device has enough battery and is not overheating.
Let’s see what Samsung has planned next. The coming weeks should give us a clearer idea of the stable rollout timeline and which devices will join the One UI 8.5 beta next.
