Samsung has released its March 2026 security patch details. The latest security update is yet to roll out to eligible devices, but we now know what it brings. This month’s SMR (Security Maintenance Release) for Galaxy smartphones and tablets addresses 67 vulnerabilities across Android OS and One UI components.

Samsung’s March 2026 security update nears rollout

Every month, Samsung rolls out a new security patch for Galaxy devices. It combines Android OS patches from Google and partner vendors with One UI fixes of its own. The March 2026 release contains 60 Android fixes and 7 One UI patches, taking the total to 67 vulnerability patches across the Galaxy family.

As usual, the severity of these vulnerabilities varies between moderate, high, and critical. This month’s patch addresses eight critical Android OS flaws, some of which could pave the way for attackers to gain remote access to affected devices. The rest are all high-severity patches addressing bugs and vulnerabilities in core Android services.

The seven One UI patches, also known as Samsung Vulnerabilities and Exposures (SVE) items, include two high-severity patches. These vulnerabilities could allow local attackers to launch arbitrary activity with the Secure Folder privilege and Settings privilege. Samsung also patched three moderate vulnerabilities in Font Settings, Settings, and Theme Manager.

As a standard procedure, the company hasn’t shared details about the other two patches. This is done so that attackers do not devise exploits before the update rolls out, giving users time to install the latest patches. Samsung hasn’t yet begun the rollout of the March 2026 security update, but it should soon.

If you are using a Galaxy smartphone or tablet, you can always check for new updates from Settings. Go to the Software update menu and tap Download and install. If you see no update today, wait a few days and check again.
