Samsung Galaxy Weekly Update Roundup (Feb 1-8)

We are now in the first week of February, and Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy S26 lineup by the end of this month. This week brought new Galaxy S26 leaks, more January 2026 security patch rollouts, and expanded One UI 8.5 testing. As for One UI 8.5 Beta 4, the update still remains delayed. Last updated on February 8.
Samsung expands January updates, One UI 8.5 testing continues, S25 Beta 4 uncertain
The Galaxy S25 lineup did not receive the One UI 8.5 Beta 4 update this week too. As a result of beta delays, it is difficult to say when the stable One UI 8.5 release will take place. The company is testing out new beta builds regularly, and may cancel the next beta release altogether. A situation similar to One UI 7 is possible, though Samsung will likely try to avoid that.

More Galaxy models have joined One UI 8.5 internal testing, and several existing test builds were updated. A few of those devices are the Galaxy M06, F06, M33, and Tab A9+. As usual, this only confirms ongoing development and does not suggest an imminent rollout. For most devices, the update should arrive in the first half of this year.
Despite being in February, Samsung continues to expand the January 2026 security patch rollout to remaining regions and models. Many A, M, F, and tablet devices received the update.
