Samsung’s Galaxy S26 Series Gets a “Miracle” Codename

Samsung fans are eagerly waiting for the company’s next-gen Galaxy S26 series. We already have a fair idea of what upgrades the flagship lineup might bring, thanks to early leaks. Now, the full codename of the series has come to light, and it’s quite interesting: Miracle.
We now know what the letter M stands for
We already knew that the three models in the Galaxy S26 series are internally called M1, M2, and M3, but it was unclear what the M stood for. While many guessed the letter might mean Momentum or Modern, it turned out to be Miracle (via GalaxyClub). This means that all Galaxy S26 models belong to the Miracle series. For reference, the codename for the Galaxy S25 series was Paradigm, while the S24 series carried Eureka.
Samsung usually chooses codenames based on the vision behind a device. For example, the Galaxy S10 series was called Beyond because it pushed the boundaries of design. Likewise, the Galaxy S20 series, codenamed Hubble (inspired by the famous telescope), introduced 100x Space Zoom with the Ultra model. However, the codename Miracle is more open-ended and mainly points to remarkable development.
There’s a lot of uncertainty about the models in the Galaxy S26 series. While earlier rumors suggested four models (Galaxy S26 Pro, S26 Plus, S26 Edge, and S26 Ultra), the latest reports now suggest a change in plans. The company has ditched the Edge model due to disappointing sales of the Galaxy S25 Edge. This suggests that the lineup will return to the usual three models: Base, Plus, and Ultra.
Furthermore, Samsung will reportedly adopt a dual-chip strategy with the upcoming flagship lineup. The Galaxy S26 Pro and S26 Plus may come with a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 or an Exynos 2600 chip, depending on the region. Meanwhile, the Galaxy S26 Ultra may feature Qualcomm’s latest flagship chipset globally. Check out our detailed coverage of the Galaxy S26 Pro and Galaxy S26 Ultra.
