Galaxy S26 & S26+ Now Official with Powerful Chips, Refined Design

Alongside the Galaxy S26 Ultra, Samsung unveiled the Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26+. These devices feature a powerful chip, a refined design, advanced cameras, new software, and a long-lasting battery for a next-level Galaxy experience. Both are now available for pre-order through the company’s online store.

What does Samsung offer with its 2026 Galaxy flagship models?

The Galaxy S26 and S26+ offer a familiar look with subtle design tweaks. They feature a raised, vertical, pill-shaped rear camera module instead of the floating-ring design seen on the previous generation. However, the main differences are in their sizes, weights, display resolutions, battery capacities, and charging speeds.

The Galaxy S26 measures 149.6 x 71.7 x 7.2mm and 167 g, whereas the Galaxy S26+ measures 158.4 x 75.8 x 7.3mm and weighs 190 g. As for display, the base model features a 6.3-inch Full HD+ Dynamic AMOLED screen, while the Plus variant comes with a 6.7-inch QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED panel. Both displays support a 120Hz refresh rate with a peak brightness of 2,600 nits.

The Galaxy S26 packs a 4,300 mAh battery with 25W wired charging, while the S26+ boasts a 4,900 mAh battery with 45W wired charging. Both phones use cutting-edge processors, though the exact chip depends on the region. For example, if you live in the US, you can buy the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 version, while European customers get the Exynos 2600 variant. Both models offer 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage as the standard configuration.

Speaking of the rear camera setup, the phones feature a 50MP main unit, a 12MP ultrawide lens, and a 10MP telephoto sensor. For selfies, they use a 12MP sensor on top of the screen. Software-wise, both ship with Android 16-based One UI 8.5 out of the box, with the promise of seven generations of OS upgrades and security updates.

Color options and price

The available color options for both the Galaxy S26 and S26+ are Cobalt Violet, Sky Blue, White, and Black. Moreover, Samsung offers two online-exclusive shades: Silver Shadow and Pink Gold. As for pricing, their US prices start at $899 and $1,099, respectively.
