Samsung Galaxy Phones Now Include eSIM Subscriptions Online

Samsung now lets you opt for eSIM subscriptions when buying a Galaxy phone online. The company has teamed up with KPN, a Dutch mobile and internet provider, to make it easier for customers to get a phone and eSIM in one place. Since the subscription process is digital, buyers can start accessing the network immediately.
Samsung and KPN team up to offer eSIM plans online
Until now, Samsung’s online store only let you buy phones with a bunch of benefits such as trade-in, flexible payment options, and Samsung Care+. Now Galaxy phones with a KPN subscription are also available via eSIM in the eStore at Samsung.com/nl. When purchasing an eSIM-compatible Samsung smartphone, the KPN option will show up during checkout. As such, you get an integrated solution that not only saves time but also adds convenience.
“This expands Samsung’s eStore with a completely new offering, responding to the growing demand from consumers who want to combine their device with a subscription,” the company wrote in its latest Newsroom post. The best thing is that even though you opt for a device with a contract, you can still take advantage of online eSIM subscriptions.
The partnership also offers extra perks for existing KPN customers. If you already have KPN internet or TV, you can get additional data or discounts when you add a mobile plan on the Samsung website. This means you can save money while enjoying more data. Basically, Samsung makes its online store “a fully-fledged platform that goes beyond simply selling devices and accessories.”
Samsung and KPN see this collaboration as a strategic move. The former will be able to expand its online sales channel, while the latter will gain a prominent place within the Samsung ecosystem. Likewise, customers now get immediate access to a reliable mobile service when buying a Samsung phone. You can learn more about the KPN subscription here.
