Samsung and British Gas have teamed up once again to help UK households save money on their energy bills. They have launched a new fixed tariff called the Samsung Weekend Saver Fix, which offers customers half-price electricity on Saturdays between 11 am and 4 pm. In addition, three lucky customers will have a chance to win free energy for a year.

Save on energy bills with the new Samsung Weekend Saver Fix

Last year, Samsung and British Gas collaborated to help people use energy more efficiently. Through the Samsung SmartThings app, customers can schedule their appliances to run when energy demand and costs are lowest. The partnership also aims to increase the adoption of low-carbon heating technologies in homes across Britain.

British Gas’s PeakSave scheme already gives customers (with a smart meter) half-price electricity on Sundays between 11 am and 4 pm. Thanks to the new Samsung Weekend Saver Fix, they can now enjoy the same benefits on Saturdays as well. That means households can save even more on their energy bills.

If you live in the UK and own an eligible Samsung product, you can sign up for the Samsung Weekend Saver Fix. Eligible products include washing machines, tumble dryers, fridges and freezers, dishwashers, ovens, and vacuums. Furthermore, select Samsung TVs, smartphones, tablets, projectors, gaming monitors, air conditioning units, and heat pump systems can also qualify for the offer (see the full list here).

If you sign up for the Samsung Weekend Saver Fix Tariff before 31st December 2025, you will get a chance to win free energy for a year, worth £1755. Three lucky customers will receive the payment via PayPal. This is the typical cost of powering an average UK home for a year.

“We’re excited to take another step forward in our relationship with Samsung and give customers smarter ways to manage their energy and save money through the use of the latest technology,” said James Hughes, Head of Sales and Partnerships at British Gas.
