SammyGuru Podcast #53: Samsung’s 2025 Report Card

There’s never a better time to talk about everything Samsung did in the past year than a few weeks before the company pulls the wraps off the next Galaxy S series. And well, that’s exactly what we’re doing in episode #53 of the SammyGuru Podcast with Jeff Springer.
SammyGuru Podcast #53 is now live, so come listen as we judge Samsung
In the latest episode, we dig into our own version of awards for the best (and not-so-best) of Samsung in 2025, along with some tech predictions we think will actually matter going forward. That includes foldables, wearables, XR, software updates, and even how Samsung handled One UI this year. You can catch my buddy Tori and I with our usual chatter, but consider this episode a pretty solid TL;DR of Samsung’s 2025.
Samsung had a bunch of launches this year, and when you’ve got that many “guests” showing up, you’re bound to love a few, like some, appreciate others for trying, and yeah… probably dislike one or two. At the same time, you also start seeing what could’ve been done better.
So we’re handing out awards for best phone, best accessory, biggest story, biggest flop, best new product category, and best Samsung app update. Chances are, if you’re a regular here, you already have a good idea which products are going to take some of those titles.
There’s plenty more we get into on episode #53 of the SammyGuru Podcast, from why the Galaxy Z Fold 7 ended up being such a big deal to what flopped harder than expected, plus early talk around the Galaxy S26 series, colors, chips, and whether Samsung might scale back pre-order perks. We also get into where things could be heading in 2026, especially with smart glasses and AI becoming a bigger part of the picture.
