November 2025 Update Reaches Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Fold 4

Samsung is in a hurry to wrap up its November 2025 security update rollout. The latest devices to receive this month’s security fixes are the Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Galaxy Z Fold 4. The update is now live in South Korea and should soon expand to other parts of the world.
Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Flip 4 receive Samsung’s November 2025 security update
Samsung got off to a slow start with this month’s security patch rollout, but the pace has picked up fast. After pushing the update to dozens of Galaxy devices over the past week, the company has now added the Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Galaxy Z Fold 4 to the list. With this, all Samsung flagships and foldables released since 2022 have received the November security update.
All of these devices started receiving the latest security patch this week, so it may take some time to reach users worldwide. As usual, the update will be available to download over the air (OTA). You may see a notification once the OTA package hits your Galaxy. You can also check for updates manually from Settings > Software update > Download and install.
Launched with Android 12L in mid-2022, the Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Galaxy Z Fold 4 are done getting major OS upgrades. They currently run One UI 8 and will not receive Android 17/ One UI 9 next year. However, Samsung should update the duo to One UI 8.5, a relatively minor release expected to debut with the Galaxy S26 series. It brings a host of new features and enhancements.
Both the Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Galaxy Z Fold 4 will continue to receive security fixes for a while, though. Samsung should update them with regular security patches until mid-2027. The latest release comes with the firmware build version IYK3. It contains more than 40 patches, split between Android OS patches from Google and Samsung’s own security enhancements.
