No Beta, But Galaxy S25 Edge May Get One UI 8 on Time

Samsung has already confirmed that the Galaxy S25 lineup will receive the stable One UI 8 update in September. It appears the S25 Edge will be part of the rollout alongside the regular trio. An internal One UI 8 build for the Edge variant recently surfaced online, bundled with the September security patch, hinting that development is nearing completion.
Samsung prepares the One UI 8 update for the Galaxy S25 Edge
In late May, Samsung launched the One UI 8 beta program for the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra in select markets. The company recently released the fifth beta update for the flagship trio, focusing on bug fixes and stability enhancements. It could be the final beta build before the stable rollout, which is confirmed for September.
However, the Galaxy S25 Edge has never been part of One UI 8 beta, leaving users wondering whether it will get the stable update alongside its siblings next month. Thankfully, it doesn’t look like the slim flagship will be left out. Even if it doesn’t get the update on the same day as the rest of the lineup, the Edge should make the jump to Android 16 in September.
X user @RydahDoesTech recently shared a screenshot showing the Galaxy S25 Edge running One UI 8 with build version BYH7. This build bundles the September 2025 security patch, which is yet to go official. While it may or may not be the final One UI 8 build for the phone, Samsung has surely ramped up its preparations for the upcoming big update.
Last week, Samsung expanded its One UI 8 beta program to the Galaxy S24, Fold 6, and Flip 6. The company is gearing up to launch beta updates for the Galaxy S23 and more devices in the coming weeks. A wide stable rollout for these devices may begin in October. We will keep you posted.
