Samsung just dropped the fifth One UI 8 beta update for the Galaxy S25 series. This could be the final beta release before the stable rollout, which begins in September. As expected, the latest release addresses many known bugs and issues. You’ll find the full One UI 8 Beta 5 changelog below.

Samsung prepares for the stable One UI 8 rollout with Beta 5

The latest beta release focuses on cleaning up the One UI 8 experience for Galaxy S25 owners. Samsung fixed a frustrating hotspot error, ensuring users can now share their mobile data without random disconnects. On the lock screen, the shrinking clock bug has been addressed, keeping the time display consistent and easy to read. The S Pen Air Command glitch on the S25 Ultra also got resolved, allowing stylus-based shortcuts to function smoothly again.

The Quick Settings panel was a source of irritation for some, occasionally failing to appear or overlapping with the notification shade. Both of these issues have been ironed out, restoring clean navigation across the UI. In Secure Folder, users faced errors when capturing screenshots inside apps, but that’s now fixed, too. Over on the camera side, Samsung eliminated the notorious purple Moon bug at 100x Space Zoom, delivering a more natural capture when zooming into celestial objects.

Elsewhere, Do Not Disturb mode now remembers its settings instead of resetting unexpectedly, keeping users in control of their quiet time. Samsung also patched the Now Brief bug that caused briefing content to vanish, ensuring that quick updates remain accessible. Taken together, these fixes show Samsung’s commitment to polishing One UI 8 before the final release.

Alongside the bug fixes, Samsung has pushed updates to its stock apps, further stabilizing the software. The rollout also includes the August 2025 security patch, reinforcing device protection ahead of the stable release. With Beta 5 now live, the Galaxy S25 series is essentially gearing up for the big transition, and if everything holds steady, the stable One UI 8 should begin rolling out in just a few weeks.
