It now features a brand-new banner image that’s already grabbing attention for all the right reasons.

In earlier leaked builds, Samsung was seen experimenting with a refreshed banner for the update screen, replacing the old minimalist design. The latest internal build goes a step further, introducing a completely new image that looks stunning enough to double as a wallpaper. This design follows Samsung’s familiar aesthetic of soft circular gradients and abstract patterns, evoking the calm, fluid look often seen across the Galaxy A series default wallpapers. The company has been subtly evolving this gradient-based visual identity across its devices over the past few years. With One UI 8.5, it’s carrying that same visual language into system apps and settings pages.

The revamped “Software Update” page also appears more modern overall, aligning with Samsung’s push toward cleaner, card-based layouts across One UI 8.5. This small but thoughtful visual update reflects its ongoing effort to refine the aesthetic of One UI. Despite a “point” release, the upcoming update is already shaping up to be a major overhaul.

One UI 8.5 will debut with the Galaxy S26 series in early 2026 before making it into older models.
