Amid ongoing uncertainty surrounding the stable One UI 7.0 rollout, Samsung has pushed out another Beta 4 hotfix update. The latest release, carrying firmware version ZYBF, fixes a refresh rate issue on the Galaxy S24 Ultra. It follows a previous hotfix last week.
Samsung rolls out another One UI 7.0 Beta 4 hotfix for the Galaxy S24 Ultra
Last week, Samsung rolled out One UI 7.0 Beta 4 for the Galaxy S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra. It quickly followed up with a hotfix (ZYBB) to patch a VVM Crash issue. However, that update never made it outside the US — One UI 7.0 beta programs are also available in India, China, Poland, Germany, the UK, and South Korea.
Today, the company released a new hotfix, a 452MB update with the build version ZYBF. It’s available more widely — confirmed in India, South Korea, and European markets — and fixes a refresh rate issue. The official release notes say Galaxy S24 Ultra users were experiencing sudden frame rate drops in certain situations. The changelog doesn’t mention anything else, so that’s likely it.
This means you shouldn’t expect fixes for any other existing issues. The side button still doesn’t support Gemini, and the detailed battery stats are missing too. Samsung also hasn’t fixed the weird battery icon, though the charging animation looks smoother in Beta 4. The update doesn’t even bring a new security patch, so the device remains on the February build.
This suggests Samsung will roll out at least one more One UI 7.0 beta build to the Galaxy S24 series before the stable release. In fact, the company appears to be preparing beta updates for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 as well. This likely means longer delays for the stable version. Recent leaks suggest the update may not arrive until mid-April. Stick around for more information.
