Motorola Razr Fold Renders Leak in All Its Glory as Galaxy Z Fold 8 Rival

Motorola already makes and sells flip-style foldables in the US, and according to a recent tip from Evan Blass, it’s preparing Razr Fold to take on the Galaxy Z Fold 8. That would add another competitor to the Galaxy Z Fold 8, beyond the obvious threat from Apple, which is also planning to enter the book-style foldable market.
Take a look at the Galaxy Z Fold 8’s upcoming rival, Motorola’s Razr Fold in official-looking renders
Shortly after we published the story about what Motorola is preparing to ship with the Razr Fold, Evan Blass leaked what appear to be official renders along with marketing materials. You can check them out to better understand what Motorola may have meant when it referred to “an advanced, boundary-breaking camera system.”

Based on these images, one thing’s clear: the Motorola Razr Fold will feature a quad-camera setup, which would be a first for the foldable market. No foldable currently available offers four rear cameras. The Galaxy Z TriFold image previously shared by a company executive, which led to speculation about a quad-camera prototype, later turned out to be an AI-generated mistake.
The images also reveal a Sony LYTIA main camera sensor with optical image stabilization. We’ll follow up with more details about the sensor in a separate story, including whether it can realistically challenge the Galaxy Z Fold 8 or even the Galaxy Z Fold 7’s camera hardware. The device also appears to come in two colors: black and pastel grey.
Additionally, the images suggest stylus support, something that’s also been rumored for the Galaxy Z Wide Fold. There is still much to learn about what the Razr Fold offers overall and how it will perform when pitted against the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and a future foldable iPhone. Pricing and retail availability remain unknown at the moment.
