Samsung has already confirmed that it will begin rolling out the One UI 8 stable update to the Galaxy S25 series this month. However, it has released another round of beta updates, which could be the final one. Although Samsung hasn’t specified any exact date(s), a leaked roadmap suggests that Sept 18 could be the day the Galaxy S25 trio receives the One UI 8 stable update.

Samsung likely putting final touches on One UI 8 stable for Galaxy S25

Right on cue, a tipster claims that Samsung is now testing the One UI 8 stable version for the Galaxy S25 series. According to Akhilesh Kumar on X, the update includes the September security patch, which is already rolling out to several devices. The build version in question is S938BXXU5BYI3.

The build version S938BXXU5BYI3 is likely a stable release of One UI, based on several key indicators in its structure. For instance, the internal build identifier begins with “B,” which Samsung typically uses for official, fully tested firmware, whereas beta builds usually start with “Z.”

As you might already know, Samsung tests multiple build versions before releasing the final stable update. From what we can tell, the company is probably putting the finishing touches on the Galaxy S25 release.

Hopefully, we’ll see the One UI 8 stable update for the Galaxy S25 trio on the rumored date, which should pave the way for more devices to receive it in the near future.

As is often the case, the update won’t be available in all regions simultaneously. If past trends are any indication, Korea will likely get it first, followed by a gradual rollout to other regions.
