January 2026 Security Update Rolling Out to Galaxy S24 (Exynos)

Samsung has been rolling out the January 2026 security patch rapidly, and many devices have already received the update. The latest to get it is the Exynos variant of the Galaxy S24, which launched alongside the Snapdragon version in early 2024.
Samsung is rolling out January 2026 security update to Galaxy S24 (Exynos)
As spotted by SammyGuru’s David Buliga, Samsung has started rolling out the January 2026 security update to the Exynos variant of the Galaxy S24. The build version is S921BXXSCCZA1, and the update size is about 311.42 MB. This comes a few days after Samsung began rolling out the update to the Snapdragon variants of the Galaxy S24.

If you own a Galaxy S24 with Exynos, you can go ahead and install the latest security patch. To do so, head to Settings > Security update > Download and install, then tap Install now. After a short while, your device will reboot with the January 2026 security patch installed.
For those who may not know, Samsung says the January 2026 update includes 55 security fixes for Galaxy devices. These cover Android OS vulnerabilities patched by Google and its partners, as well as issues resolved in Samsung’s One UI software. Not all fixes apply to every model, but it is strongly recommended not to delay the update.
That said, Samsung is actively testing One UI 8.5 for the Galaxy S24, which will be the next major update for these models. Contrary to what was suggested months ago, the One UI 8.5 update will bring a number of additions and improvements. You can check out the video below to see some of them in action.
