Google May Soon Let You Cast Android Apps Between Your Devices

If you use more than one Android device, like a phone, tablet, or smart TV, you probably know how frustrating it can be to install the same app on each device separately. Sometimes you want to access an app that’s only installed on one device, which can be tricky if you don’t want to download it again. Well, it looks like Google might soon solve this issue once and for all.
App Cast could let you stream Android apps across your devices
Now, Android Authority has spotted some interesting clues from a recent Google Play Services update. These hints suggest that Google might be working on a way to fix this issue. The feature, possibly called App Cast, could let you stream apps from one device to another without needing to install the app twice.
Most details remain under wraps, but the publication took a deep dive into the code and uncovered some promising signs. For example, some code lines include phrases like “Starting app cast for package %s” and “Launching ‘%s’ on remote device ‘%s’”. What that suggests is Google might be preparing the system to run apps remotely on different devices.
While there’s no way to try this feature yet, and Google hasn’t made any official announcements, App Cast sounds like it could make it easier to use your favorite apps across multiple devices. This might be useful if you want to use an app on a tablet without installing it there. Or if you want to stream an app from your phone to a Google TV.
There’s also some evidence that Google is working on better syncing of notifications across devices. But it’s unclear if that will be connected to App Cast. For now, App Cast is still in the early stages. But it’s an exciting idea that could make managing apps on multiple Android devices much simpler.
