Google Keep Update Brings Long-Awaited Sorting Feature

If you are a user of Google Keep and want the ability to sort your notes through simple taps, the company has now brought this convenience. The latest version of the app for Android devices introduces a new sorting tool, allowing users to organize notes by custom order, date created, or date modified. The update is rolling out gradually and may hit your Galaxy devices in the coming weeks.
You can now organize your Google Keep notes with sorting options
With Samsung Notes, you can organize your notes in several ways, but Google Keep does not have a similar function. Users could manually arrange notes, but nothing more. Thankfully, the long-awaited sort feature is here with version 5.25.302.02.90, as reported by Android Authority. You will see a new sort icon inside the search bar at the top of the main screen.
For the uninitiated, Google Keep lets you quickly capture what’s on your mind and get a reminder at your preferred time. It lets you take notes through audio recordings, images, drawings, lists, and plain text. This comes in handy if you want to keep track of daily tasks all in one place. Now, with the addition of the sort feature, it offers an easier way to view and manage your notes.
Speaking of sort capabilities, the new feature offers three convenient options: custom, date created, and date modified. If you want to drag and arrange notes exactly how you want them, the custom option brings this flexibility. Likewise, the second and third options let you sort notes by the original creation date and the most recent edit date, respectively.
Note that you will still see the pinned notes, but they will be organized according to your chosen sorting method. The publication says it’s a limited rollout for now, but it should expand in coming weeks. To check for the update, head over to the Google Play Store and search for Google Keep.
