March Update Live for Galaxy Z TriFold, Fold 7, Flip 7 and More Foldables

Alongside the Galaxy S25 series, Samsung has also released the March 2026 security update for its recent foldables. This month’s security fixes are now rolling out to the Galaxy Z TriFold, Fold 7, Flip 7, Flip 7 FE, Fold 6, Fold Special Edition, and Flip 6 in South Korea. A global rollout should begin soon.
A bunch of Galaxy Z models receive Samsung’s March 2026 security update
This month’s SMR (Security Maintenance Release) for Galaxy devices addresses 67 vulnerabilities. These include fixes across Android OS and One UI components. While Samsung detailed the patch early in the month, the rollout has just begun. The Galaxy S25 series grabbed it first, and the update is now available for a bunch of foldables.
As of this writing, the rollout remains limited to Korea, but the update should arrive in more markets soon. The Galaxy Z TriFold and Fold 7 are picking up the March 2026 update with firmware version AZC1. It’s AZC2 for the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and AZC1 for the Flip 7 FE. The update for the Galaxy Z Fold 6, Fold Special Edition, and Flip 6 carries firmware version CZC1.
Samsung’s March 2026 update will gradually reach these foldables and other devices in more markets. Galaxy users can check for updates from Settings > Software update > Download and install. If the update doesn’t show up today, wait a few days and check again.
While the latest release may not bring any user-facing changes, Samsung has a major feature update in the works. Shortly after debuting the Galaxy S26 series with One UI 8.5, it is preparing to push the new version to older models. The Galaxy S25 lineup could receive the update later this month, followed by a wider global rollout in April. We will let you know when the rollout begins for your Galaxy device.
