FCC confirms a US launch for Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip FE
A new FCC listing shows a Samsung device with the model number SM-F761U, which is the Galaxy Z Flip FE’s US carrier-locked model. While this certification doesn’t reveal anything we don’t already know, it confirms the device’s existence and imminent arrival in the US market. As mentioned above, Samsung will launch the new foldable in early July, with pre-orders expected to begin on the same day. General sales may start at the end of July.
With the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Samsung aims to elevate the foldable (Fold) experience to a whole new level. The upcoming model brings several notable upgrades across its design, displays, cameras, and build quality. The Galaxy Z Flip 7, meanwhile, focuses on enhancing the clamshell foldable experience. It doesn’t get many radical upgrades over the Flip 6.
Coming to the Galaxy Z Flip FE, it’s pretty much a re-badged Flip 6 with an Exynos processor. Samsung’s goal here is to lower the entry barrier to its foldables with a cheaper model that still delivers a fairly reliable experience. The Fan Edition model is expected to sell under $800, while the Flip 7 may cost $1,100. It’s unclear if Samsung will launch the Flip FE globally, though we have confirmation about its arrival in the US.
The Korean firm has already started teasing its upcoming foldables, focusing on the Galaxy Z Fold 7‘s slim design and “Ultra” upgrades. As certification and regulatory listings continue to emerge, more concrete details should surface soon. Stay tuned as we move closer to the big reveal next month.
