As the calendar turns, attention is gradually shifting to the 2026 foldables. There are still some uncertainties about how many models we will see, but a key detail about the Galaxy Z Flip 8 has surfaced. According to reports from Korean media, the Galaxy Z Flip 8 will use the Exynos 2600 exclusively.

Galaxy Z Flip 8 will come with Exynos 2600 in all markets

Samsung recently announced the Exynos 2600, and it looks like the company will continue its recent tradition of shipping in-house chipsets with the Galaxy Z Flip 8. For context, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 comes with the 3nm Exynos 2500, and its successor will carry on that trend with the 2nm Exynos 2600. Interestingly, it is also the world’s first 2nm mobile processor built on the GAA process.

That makes it fairly clear that the Galaxy Z Flip 8 will ship with the Exynos 2600 worldwide, including in the US. Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 might use the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 globally, much like its predecessor. Could there be a third variant at the launch event? Possibly. There may be a Galaxy Z Fold 8 FE, although details are still scarce.

The Galaxy Z Flip 8 is also rumored to be noticeably thinner, though there is no solid evidence to support this yet. The same tipster claims that the Flip 8 will see improvements in both display and performance. The performance gains could be attributed to the Exynos 2600, but there are no specific details about the display so far.

Additionally, the Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26+ could ship with the Exynos 2600 as well. These Exynos variants will likely be available in most regions, except Canada, China, and the US. The Galaxy S26 Ultra, on the other hand, will use the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 globally. If you plan to pick up a Galaxy S26 series in the US, you can claim a free mystery box. We cover the shipping, and it includes a bunch of accessories for your device.
