Galaxy Z Flip 7 Olympic Edition Powers Victory Selfie at Milano Cortina 2026

Samsung has given its Galaxy Z Flip 7 Olympic Edition to the athletes competing at the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics. The phone also powers the Victory Selfie, a memorable way for athletes to capture their podium moments. This allows athletes to take photos and share their victories with family, fans, and followers around the world.

Victory Selfie lets athletes capture podium moments

After years of training, standing on the Olympic podium is a memorable lifetime moment for athletes. Victory Selfie lets them capture the emotional and unfiltered experiences just as they feel them. Basically, they use the Galaxy Z Flip 7 Olympic Edition to take their own photos right after winning a medal.

Samsung first introduced the Victory Selfie at the Paris 2024 Olympics, where the Galaxy Z Flip 6 Olympic Edition took nearly 300 selfies. For Milano Cortina 2026, the company has improved the Victory Selfie experience. Team sports can now also take part, allowing all participating athletes to capture their moment of victory through their own lens. The company says it is helping to “reinforce the podium as a cultural stage where sport, self-expression, and shared victory come together.”

Speaking of the Galaxy Z Flip 7 Olympic Edition, the company designed the phone specially for the Milano Cortina 2026. Inspired by Italian azure, the phone’s blue back glass represents unity and sportsmanship. The custom gold metal frame symbolizes excellence and podium moments.

In the camera department, the Flip device features a dual rear camera setup with a 50MP primary and a 12MP ultrawide lens. Thanks to Dual Recording, athletes can capture a moment using both the front and rear cameras at the same time. Likewise, the Photo Assist tool lets athletes remove unwanted objects to improve backgrounds.

During the Winter Olympics opening ceremony, Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Ultra smartphones were used with conventional broadcast equipment. This helped global viewers feel closer to the energy and emotion of the historic moment.
