Samsung has just unveiled two new additions to its foldable lineup — the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and the more budget-friendly Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE. While the former builds on its predecessor with a refined design and enhanced features, the latter offers a more accessible entry point into the world of foldables without compromising the core Flip experience. If you’re considering either model, here’s a breakdown of the RAM, storage, and chipset.

Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Flip 7 FE are the first Exynos-powered foldables

Since the debut of the original Galaxy Fold in 2019, Samsung has consistently equipped its foldable smartphones with Qualcomm Snapdragon processors. Even during the years when it launched flagship Exynos chips for the Galaxy S series, the Galaxy Z line remained a Snapdragon-only territory. That changes in 2025. For the first time, Samsung is introducing Exynos processors into its foldable lineup with the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Flip 7 FE.

The regular Flip 7 runs the Exynos 2500, Samsung’s first 3nm smartphone chip. It is supposed to compete against the Snapdragon 8 Elite powering the Fold 7, but it falls short in almost every department. However, it is no slouch either. Qualcomm has set the bar so high with the Elite that it is difficult for Samsung to match that level of performance. The Exynos 2500 is a powerful chip that can be easily classified as a flagship, so it makes sense for Samsung to use it in the Flip 7.

As for the Fan Edition model, the Korean firm decided to use the previous-gen Exynos 2400. Once again, a fitting choice considering the price segment we are talking about. Samsung offers the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE with 8GB RAM, paired with 128GB and 256GB storage capacity. The Flip 7 gets 12GB of RAM across the board, while storage options include 256GB and 512GB. Below is the complete range.

  • Galaxy Z Flip 7 12GB + 256GB
  • Galaxy Z Flip 7 12GB + 512GB
  • Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE 8GB + 128GB
  • Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE 8GB + 256GB
