Galaxy Watch 7 Gets One UI 8 Watch Update in the US

After a limited Korean release on Monday, Samsung has begun a global rollout of One UI 8 Watch for the Galaxy Watch 7. The update is now available in the US and should soon expand to other regions. It brings several new features, enhanced performance, and better battery efficiency.

Based on Wear OS 6, the stable One UI 8 Watch update is rolling out to Galaxy Watch 7 users on Verizon’s network with the firmware version BYI4. The update should soon be available nationwide, though the build number may vary depending on the model and network operator. Samsung’s latest wearable software brings meaningful updates focused on customization, wellness, and usability.

Users can now create their own tiles, choosing from various widgets like weather, calendar events, reminders, and more. This lets you personalize your watch face layout to show exactly what matters most to you at a glance. A new low-light mode makes it easier to view the display in dark environments.

One UI 8 Watch also enhances wellness tracking with mood monitoring and guided breathing exercises under the Mindfulness section. These tools are designed to help reduce stress and improve focus throughout the day. The Running Coach feature adds a performance test that measures your fitness level through a 12-minute run. Based on your results, the watch recommends personalized training programs to help improve endurance and pace.

Thanks to Wear OS 6, users can expect smoother app performance, faster responsiveness, and improved battery optimization. The platform also enhances compatibility for both native and third-party apps, expanding the Galaxy Watch’s role across the wider Android and Wear OS ecosystem.

This update also brings the September 2025 security patch to the Galaxy Watch 7. To install the new software, open the Galaxy Wearable app on your connected phone or navigate to Settings > Watch software update on your watch. Follow the on-screen instructions to download and install the latest version.
