Samsung has begun rolling out a new software update for the Galaxy Watch 7, bringing the February 2026 security patch to the smartwatch. The update is currently live in South Korea, with a wider rollout expected soon. Other Galaxy Watch models should also receive this update in the coming weeks.

Galaxy Watch 7 grabs Samsung’s February 2026 security update

The latest update for the Galaxy Watch 7 in Korea carries firmware version BZB1 and comes in at approximately 390.13MB for the 44mm Bluetooth version (via Samsung Community). The update is also available for the 40mm variant, but the LTE counterparts don’t seem to have received it yet. Samsung may gradually expand the rollout to the LTE models in Korea and beyond.

The official changelog confirms February 2026 security fixes for the watch. The Galaxy Watch 7 was previously running the November 2025 build. Unlike flagship smartphones, Samsung doesn’t push monthly updates to its watches. Its wearables typically receive new updates every two to three months, or even longer at times.

Last month’s release addresses over 30 vulnerabilities across the Galaxy family, including smartphones and tablets. Additionally, Samsung is pushing some system stability and reliability improvements to the Galaxy Watch 7. We will let you know when this update reaches more Galaxy Watch users worldwide.

Meanwhile, if you own a Samsung smartwatch, you can manually check for the update directly on your wrist. Open the Settings app and go to Watch software update > Download and install to see if an update is available for you. You can also use the Galaxy Wearable app on your connected smartphone to check for new software.

As always, it may take a few days before the update reaches all eligible units globally. If it’s not available yet in your region, check again later in a few days. Since the March 2026 security patch is already official, Samsung may skip the February release for some Galaxy Watch models and jump straight to the newer build. We will keep you posted.
