Galaxy Tab S12 Series Launch Timeline and Price Tipped

Samsung is preparing to refresh its premium tablet lineup with the Galaxy Tab S12 series. A new report has shed light on the possible launch timeline for the tablets, which follows a similar schedule to that of its predecessor. The pricing has also been tipped, though this should be taken as an early estimate for now.

Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S12 series could include two models: Tab S12+ and Tab S12 Ultra. Unlike the Tab S11 series, we may not get a standard model this year (Instead, there could be a Plus model, as evidence suggests). The S12+ may feature a 12.4-inch display, while the S12 Ultra could adopt a 14.6-inch screen.

According to a report from ETNews, Samsung could debut the Galaxy Tab S12 series around September 2026. The company unveiled last year’s Galaxy Tab S11 series in September, so it is sticking to the same annual launch schedule for premium tablets.

As for pricing, the 2026 flagship tablet lineup could start at around $1,100 to $1,200. For comparison, the Tab S11 Ultra hit the stores at a starting price of $1,199, while the Tab S10+ retails at $999.99. So, the new series should fall within a similar range unless a memory price hike pushes costs higher.

Previous reports suggest the Galaxy Tab S12+ may feature a 10,600 mAh battery, larger than the S10+’s 10,090 mAh. While the increase may seem subtle (about 5%), battery life could improve more if it uses an efficient processor.

For performance, the Galaxy Tab S12 series is likely to use MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500 or 9500 Plus chipset. There is chatter about using Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, but the company is unlikely to do so. The MediaTek chip should improve power efficiency, allowing the tablets to keep solid battery life during heavy use. We should learn more details in the coming months.
