Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra’s Pro Keyboard Debuts in the US in Two Colors

After waiting six months for the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra’s Pro Keyboard, it is finally available in the US directly through Samsung’s website. It first debuted earlier this month in Korea, gradually made its way to Canada, and is now available in the US as well. It comes a few days after we spotted a Best Buy listing.
Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra’s Pro Keyboard is slightly more expensive than anticipated
When it debuted in Korea, 495,000 won equated to about $338 USD. In Canada, $499 CAD converts to roughly $364 USD. These price conversions suggested we could see a $349 price tag in the US, similar to previous Book Cover Keyboards. Instead, it’s priced at $399, a nice $50 increase.
This puts the Pro Keyboard in a tough spot, it’s $50 more expensive than Apple’s counterpart. Sure, it features an all-aluminum design compared to Apple’s aluminum and soft-touch polyurethane, but it also offers less protection and lacks an extra USB-C port for charging.

I’m optimistic because the real differentiator could be the trackpad and keyboard. If Samsung can deliver a superior experience over Apple, then it could be worth it. The lack of built-in protection might even become a benefit, we could see case manufacturers create interesting covers with features like improved thermal performance. I currently use a similar case with my iPad Pro and Magic Keyboard.
A new color has emerged
Its release isn’t the only thing that has arrived in the United States, we’ve also received a new colorway. The Pro Keyboard for Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra is now available in Silver besides Gray.
Previously, we’ve only seen the Gray colorway. Now we finally have a choice: a muted stealth look or a pristine, glowing silver finish with white keycaps. Some might worry about how the lighter color will hold up over time, but I wouldn’t be too concerned. The all-metal build is unlikely to stain, and the keycap material will most likely be of high quality.
Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra users can finally rejoice, no longer do they have to deal with an unwieldy kickstand when using the tablet on any surface other than a desk. Artists and students can now easily detach the Galaxy Tab from the keyboard to start writing or drawing. Samsung has finally delivered on the hardware side. Now we wait to see if they’ve done the same with the software.
