Samsung’s Galaxy S26 Ultra is shaping up to be one of the most exciting flagships of 2026. Recent leaks reveal support for 60W fast charging, a long-awaited jump that could drastically cut down charge times. But that’s just the beginning. Samsung is also overhauling the camera system, introducing an upgraded primary sensor that captures nearly 50% more light than before, promising dramatically better low-light performance.

Galaxy S26 Ultra could go from 0 to 80% battery in 30 minutes

According to Ice Universe, the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s 60W charging speed can refill its 5,000mAh battery from 0 to 75–80% in just 30 minutes. For most users, that should be enough to last an entire day of typical usage. If we are to guess, a full charge may take about 45 minutes, while the phone could hit 50% battery in about 15 minutes. The S25 Ultra supports 45W charging and takes about an hour for a full charge.

Samsung isn’t stopping at charging speed, though. The Galaxy S26 Ultra may also debut an upgraded sensor for its primary camera. The company has reportedly reengineered its ISOCELL HP2 sensor with an f/1.4 aperture. This wider aperture lets in significantly more light, which is critical for low-light and nighttime photography. The S26 Ultra’s camera will allow approx. 47% more light to reach the sensor compared to the S25 Ultra.

This means better night shots, less motion blur in low-light conditions, and improved dynamic range and overall clarity. These enhancements may once again put the Galaxy S26 Ultra among the mobile photography elites. Samsung’s recent Ultra flagships have slightly fallen off that chart due to various reasons. While still capable, the S25 Ultra and S24 Ultra lag behind the competition in certain areas of photography.

With launch still months away, there’s still more to uncover — but if these early leaks are accurate, the Ultra may truly live up to its name next year.
