Galaxy S25 Series, Z Flip 6, Tab S11 Series Receive October 2025 Security Update

Samsung has begun rolling out the October 2025 Security Patch for more Galaxy devices. The latest devices to join the list are the Galaxy Tab S11 Series and the Galaxy Z Flip 6. The October update for both devices is based on One UI 8. It mainly focuses on improving device stability and fixing minor issues that appeared after the stable release. Earlier today, the Galaxy S25 Series also received the October patch in regions like India and Europe. This continues Samsung’s steady rollout of monthly security updates.
October 2025 security update expands to Galaxy S25 series, Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Tab S11 series in more regions
The Galaxy S25 Series has started receiving the October 2025 security update in regions such as India and Europe. This follows its release in other regions earlier. The update for the Galaxy S25 is around 550 MB in size. It carries the build number S931BXXS6BYIF. This marks the second update for the series since One UI 8 rollout last month.

The Galaxy Z Flip 6 has started receiving the October 2025 security patch in countries such as Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines, and others. The update carries a build number of F741BXXS2CYJ1. It is the first update after the official One UI 8 stable release. This update brings better system optimization and minor UI refinements. The sibling foldable, the Galaxy Z Fold 6, has not yet received the October patch, at least as of this writing. But it should follow soon.

The Galaxy Tab S11 Series has also started receiving the October 2025 update in Europe and Turkey. Both models, the Tab S11 and the Tab S11 Ultra, are getting the update based on One UI 8, the official software they were launched with. The build number for the Tab S11 is X736BXXU2AYJ1, while for the Tab S11 Ultra it is X936BXXU2AYJ1.

While the One UI 8 rollout seems to have slowed down for a few devices, the October Security Patch rollout is in full swing across Samsung’s lineup, ranging from flagship phones to budget devices. To manually check for the October update, go to Settings > Software update > Download and install. Tap Install now once the update finishes downloading, and your device will restart with the October patch.
