However, spots are still limited, so interested users should sign up quickly before the program reaches capacity. This time, it could be closed for real, never to reopen.

Samsung launched the One UI 8 beta program for the Galaxy S24 series today, rolling it out almost simultaneously in the US, the UK, South Korea, and India. But for Indian users, the excitement lasted only minutes. Samsung has already closed registrations, leaving users frustrated. Hopefully, the company will reopen registrations shortly, as no one seems to have managed to grab the beta update.

Galaxy S24 users in India are unable to join the One UI 8 beta

Galaxy S24 users have been eagerly waiting for Samsung to drop the One UI 8 beta update for their phones. So when the beta program kicked off in the aforementioned four regions, everyone rushed to register their devices. Unfortunately, for users in India, the window was open for just a few minutes. When trying to register, they are now being greeted with a “we’ve reached the participant limit for this beta program” message.

What’s puzzling is that, based on early reports, it appears no one actually managed to enroll before the program supposedly reached capacity. Multiple users on Samsung’s community forums and social media claim they received the “full” error immediately after the banner appeared in the Samsung Members app. This suggests the situation might be a technical glitch rather than an actual limit being reached.

Samsung hasn’t yet issued an official statement on the matter. If it’s indeed an error, the company will likely reopen registrations once the issue is resolved. Until then, Indian Galaxy S24 owners will have to wait to try Android 16 with One UI 8. We will let you know if Samsung confirms the cause of the abrupt closure or restarts sign-ups in India.
