Galaxy S24, Fold 6 and Flip 6 get One UI 8 Beta 2 — Now Brief Included

Yesterday, Samsung released the sixth One UI 8 beta update for the Galaxy S25 series. It is now rolling out the second beta for the Galaxy S24, Fold 6, and Flip 6, with Now Brief finally expanding to older models. Introduced with the S25 series, the initial beta release for these devices skipped this feature.
Galaxy S24, Fold 6, and Flip 6 get the second One UI 8 beta update
Samsung is widely rolling out the new beta update for the 2024 flagships in India, Korea, the UK, and the US, the only four markets where it launched the beta programs. The OTA (over the air) packages weigh just under 1GB for all three models, with the changelog specifying several bug fixes and improvements. Galaxy 24, Fold 6, and Flip 6 beta testers should get a more stable experience with One UI 8 Beta 2.
The latest release for these devices carries the same build version (ZYHB) as the S25 lineup, suggesting a nearing platform stability. In fact, the changelog is identical to the Galaxy S25’s Beta 6, which further indicates a synchronized development of One UI 8 for all of these devices. Samsung has addressed several known bugs and bundled the September security patch as it gears up to release the stable version.
The Galaxy S25 lineup is already confirmed to make the jump to stable One UI 8 in September, and others might join it. Samsung also plans to expand the beta program to the Galaxy S23 series, Fold 5, Flip 5, Tab S10 series, and a bunch of mid-range smartphones. This expansion begins early next month, likely before the stable rollout for the newer models. The stable One UI 8 update should be available widely for all eligible models starting in October, with Samsung updating most of them before the end of the year. We will keep you posted.
