Galaxy F70e, Upcoming Galaxy M17e Join One UI 8.5 Testing

One UI 8.5 build activity has slowed down a lot in recent weeks. Only a few Galaxy models are left to appear with test builds. At the same time, Samsung has also started working on One UI 9. The first test build for it surfaced last week. Now, Samsung’s recently launched Galaxy F70e and the upcoming Galaxy M17e have appeared on Samsung’s test servers with One UI 8.5 builds. This does not mean the update is rolling out anytime soon. However, it clearly confirms that internal testing has started.
Galaxy F70e and Galaxy M17e appear with One UI 8.5 test builds
Samsung has started internal One UI 8.5 testing for the Galaxy F70e. The phone went on sale today and launched with One UI 8 out of the box. Even before the device reaches more users, Samsung is already preparing its first feature update. The Galaxy F70e carries the model number “SM-E076B.” The device has appeared with a One UI 8.5 build on Samsung’s test servers in India, Nepal, and Sri Lanka. The build version is E076BXXU1BZB1.

The upcoming Galaxy M17e has also shown up on Samsung’s servers with a One UI 8.5 build. The device should carry model number “SM-M076B.” Like the F70e, it is expected to launch with One UI 8. Later, it will receive One UI 8.5 as its first major update. The Galaxy M17e One UI 8.5 test firmware carries the build version M076BXXU1BZB1. We spotted the build on servers in India and Nepal.

One UI 8.5 is expected to bring UI refinements, smoother animations, visual improvements, and some new features across supported Galaxy devices. The rollout timeline is quite uncertain as of now. However, if things go as expected, the company could complete rolling out One UI 8.5 to eligible devices in the first half of the year.
If your Galaxy device already runs One UI 8, it should also receive the One UI 8.5 update. We will keep tracking test builds and share updates regularly.
