Samsung could debut the next-gen mid-range Galaxy A series sometime this month. The lineup will likely include the Galaxy A57 and Galaxy A37, bringing a fresh experience for mid-range smartphone buyers. While digging through early retailer listings, we managed to get renders of the former model in Charcoal, Icy Blue, Lilac, and Navy.
As you can see, the Galaxy A57 features a vertical, pill-shaped camera module on the back. Three camera units sit inside the bump, likely a 50MP main camera, a 12MP ultrawide lens, and a 5MP macro sensor. We see the familiar Key Island layout on the right-side frame that houses the power and volume buttons.
On the front, the Galaxy A57 appears to have a flat display with a hole-punch cutout for the selfie unit. The side and top bezels look slim, but the bottom bezel (chin) is slightly thicker, meaning the phone won’t have uniform edges. It is unclear whether Samsung has reduced the bezel thickness compared to its predecessor, but it seems likely. Reports suggest the company could use flexible OLED panels in the Galaxy A57 instead of the rigid OLED displays seen on previous Galaxy A5x models, allowing for thinner bezels.
Speaking of the display, the Galaxy A57 may feature a 6.7-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED screen. Thanks to the rumored 6.9 mm slim body, the phone should feel sleek and comfortable in the hand. Under the hood, we could get an in-house Exynos 1680 chip, paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. A 5000mAh battery that supports 45W wired charging will likely power the device. More details should emerge in the coming days.
