Samsung launched the Galaxy A57 and Galaxy A37 a few days ago. Now, the company has started rolling out the first update for one of these models. While many would expect the March 2026 security patch, that’s not the case. Surprisingly, the Galaxy A57 is receiving an update with the older January security patch in select regions. A wider rollout should begin shortly.

Galaxy A57 starts receiving its first update with stability improvements

The Galaxy A57 is currently receiving its first update in regions like Saudi Arabia, Australia, Brazil, Singapore, and Egypt. The update carries the build number A576BXXU1AZC2. Although it includes the older January 2026 security patch, the main focus seems to be on improving device stability and fixing early issues.

Samsung is likely addressing bugs soon after launch to ensure smooth day-to-day performance for early adopters. As of now, the update is rolling out for the SM-A576B variant, which is the global version of the Galaxy A57. Other variants are expected to follow in the coming days.

The January 2026 security patch includes 55 security fixes identified by Samsung, Google, and their partner companies. While it does not bring any major new features, it improves system stability and resolves issues noticed after release.

Meanwhile, the younger sibling, the Galaxy A37, has not received any update yet. However, Samsung may roll out an update for it soon as well, likely following a similar approach. Both devices run One UI 8.5 out of the box.

If you own a Galaxy A57, it is a good idea to check for the update to fix early issues and improve overall performance. To check, go to Settings > Software update > Download and install. Once downloaded, tap Install now. Make sure your device has enough battery and is not overheating before starting the installation.

The Galaxy A57 arrives in the US on April 9.
