Galaxy A56, A36 See Another Price Hike in India

Samsung is struggling to keep the prices of its Galaxy A56 and Galaxy A36 stable in India. Just a few weeks after the last increase, the company has hiked the prices of both models again. The new rates could take effect at any time, so if you are planning to buy, do it right away.
Higher storage variants of Galaxy A56 and A36 now cost more
Samsung has increased the prices of the Galaxy A56 and Galaxy A36 in India. The good news is that the base configurations (8GB+128GB) do not see a price hike. Smartphone makers are facing rising memory and component costs, likely leading to price increases for higher storage variants.
According to a leaked internal document, the Galaxy A56’s 8GB + 256GB model sees a price increase of INR 1,000, from INR 43,999 to INR 44,999. The 12GB + 256GB variant now costs INR 48,999, up from INR 46,999 (an increase of INR 2,000).
Speaking of the Galaxy A36, the 8GB+256GB and 12GB+256GB models also see similar price hikes of INR 1,000 and INR 2,000, respectively. The former now costs INR 36,499, while the latter costs INR 40,499. While the document mentions the effective date of February 25, Samsung has not yet revised prices on its online store or retail outlets. The company could implement the new rates at any point.

For the uninitiated, Samsung’s Galaxy A56 and Galaxy A36 5G are popular mid-range smartphones. Both models boast a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rates and a 5,000 mAh battery with 45W fast charging. They are also eligible for six years of major Android upgrades. Galaxy A56 uses the Exynos 1580 processor, while Galaxy A36 features the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset.
Meanwhile, their successors, the Galaxy A57 and A37, recently showed up on the Google Play Console supported devices list. This suggests that the launch of the next-gen Galaxy A models is imminent. We will let you know once the expected launch date surfaces online.
