Samsung Could Increase Prices of Galaxy A56, A36, F17 5G in India

Samsung may increase the prices of some of its popular Galaxy smartphones in India starting today (January 5). The price revision will impact several Galaxy models, including the Galaxy A56, Galaxy A36, and Galaxy F17 5G. The changes could apply to all memory configurations of these phones.

According to tipster @yabhishekhd, citing a leaked document, Samsung has decided to hike the prices of multiple Galaxy models. The document shows that the Galaxy A56, Galaxy A36, and Galaxy F17 5G will see price increases of INR 2,000, INR 1500, and INR 1,000, respectively.

Speaking of Galaxy A56, the hike is substantial among the affected phones, as expected. The 12GB + 256GB variant will be available for purchase at INR 46,999, up from INR 44,999. Likewise, the price of the 8GB + 256GB model will increase to INR 43,999 from ₹41,999. As for the 8GB + 128GB version, it will see a price bump to INR 40,999 from INR 38,999.
The Galaxy A36 will also become costly, with all its variants increasing by about INR 1,500. For example, the 12GB + 256GB model will see its price go up from INR 36,999 to INR 38,499. Meanwhile, the 8GB + 256GB and 8GB + 128GB options will rise to INR 35,499 and INR 32,499, respectively.
Furthermore, the Galaxy F17 5G will see a price increase of INR 1,000 for all memory versions. The 4GB + 128GB variant will increase from INR 14,499 to INR 15,499. As for the 6GB + 128GB model, it will be available at INR 16999 instead of INR 15,999. Similarly, the 8GB + 128GB variant will cost INR 18,499, up from INR 17,499.
As of this writing, Samsung has not updated the new prices on online stores (including its own and retailers). So, if you are planning to buy any of these Galaxy phones, you should act fast, as the company could implement the price hike at any time. For now, all eyes are on the upcoming Galaxy A57 and A37, expected to debut in February 2026.
