Galaxy A37 and A57 Show Improved Performance on Geekbench

Samsung has completed the Galaxy S26 launch, and is now preparing to unveil its next mid-range devices, the Galaxy A37 and Galaxy A57. The launch could took place next month. We already have a fair idea about their specifications, and new Geekbench listings reveal a noticeable performance improvement over their predecessors.

The Galaxy A37 has appeared on Geekbench with a single-core score of 1138 and a multi-core score of 3450. For comparison, the Galaxy A36 scored around 1000 in single-core and 2700 in multi-core tests. This marks nearly a 30% improvement in multi-core performance. The boost is likely brought by Samsung’s newer Exynos 1480 chip.

Last year’s Galaxy A36 faced criticism for offering weaker performance compared to rivals in the same price range, but Samsung seems to be addressing that with the 2026 model. The Galaxy A37 being tested here features 8GB of RAM, though there may also be a 6GB variant.

The Galaxy A57 also shows decent gains. It scored 1385 in single-core and 4469 in multi-core tests. The previous Galaxy A56 managed around 1350 and 3700, respectively. That is roughly a 20% jump in multi-core performance. The Galaxy A57 is expected to feature the Exynos 1680, offering better overall efficiency and power. It should offer 8GB RAM as standard.

Both the Galaxy A37 and Galaxy A57 have already surfaced on several certification platforms. Leaked CAD renders have also given us a clear look at their design. The devices are expected to come with IP68 water and dust resistance. A 5000mAh battery with 45W fast charging is also likely, though not 60W like the S26 Ultra. The Galaxy A57 may feature slimmer bezels for a more premium look. However, the Galaxy A37 is expected to feature a similar thickness as its predecessor.

Both phones should launch with One UI 8.5 based on Android 16 out of the box. Unfortunately, there are chances of a slight price increase due to rising component costs. More details should emerge as we move closer to launch.
