Galaxy A07 5G Moves Closer to Launch with GCF Approval

Samsung is expected to launch a new budget 5G smartphone soon. The Galaxy A07 5G will succeed the A06 5G, one of the best-selling smartphones of 2025. The device has now picked up GCF (Global Certification Forum) approval, a key regulatory milestone that typically signals an imminent market release.
Galaxy A07 5G clears GCF certification on its way to launch
The Galaxy A07 5G has appeared in the GCF database with the model number SM-A076B/DS. The listing confirms support for dual SIM functionality along with 5G connectivity, reinforcing the phone’s positioning as a globally available budget 5G device. Of course, the handset also supports 2G, 3G, and 4G cellular networks, ensuring wide compatibility across regions.
This isn’t the first regulatory listing for the Galaxy A07 5G. It previously appeared on BiS, Bluetooth SIG, and more platforms. The device also appeared on Geekbench, offering an early look at its core hardware. The benchmark suggests the phone will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset, the same processor as its predecessor.
Samsung will ship the phone in 4GB and 6GB RAM variants, likely with 64GB and 128GB of storage. The device will run Android 16-based One UI 8 out of the box, with the One UI 8.5 update to follow in the first half of next year. It should be eligible for six years of security support and six generations of OS upgrades, going up to Android 22.
While we do not yet have an official launch date, Samsung has already published support pages for the Galaxy A07 5G in several markets. These developments strongly suggest that the company is in the final stages of preparation. The device could debut before the end of this year or in the early weeks of 2026. More details should surface soon as Samsung gears up for the official announcement.
