Breaking! One UI 8 Beta Live for Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Flip 5

The month of the One UI 8 update is well and truly here. Ahead of the stable rollout, Samsung is rapidly pushing the beta version to more devices. The latest models to receive beta updates are the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5, following yesterday’s release for the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy A55, A54, A36, and A35. The Galaxy Tab S10 series is also expected to join the list soon.
Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Flip 5 also get One UI 8 beta updates
Samsung has kicked off One UI 8 beta registrations for the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Flip 5 in its home country of South Korea. Interested users can enroll through the Samsung Members app and get an early taste of the Android 16-based update. The beta program should also launch in India, the UK, and the US in a few hours.
Alongside the aforementioned models, One UI 8 beta is also available for the Galaxy S25 series, S24 series, Fold 6, and Flip 6. Samsung has already confirmed a stable release in September, starting with the Galaxy S25 lineup, likely including the Edge. A wider rollout should begin in October, introducing Android 16 features and One UI customizations to more Galaxy users worldwide.
This update focuses heavily on integrating Galaxy AI features across more devices, making everyday tasks smarter and more seamless. Users can expect improvements in productivity tools, tighter ecosystem integration with Galaxy tablets and wearables, and enhanced personalization options for themes, lock screens, and widgets. The interface also brings refinements to animations and transitions.
Beyond visual and usability upgrades, One UI 8 emphasizes long-term support and performance stability. Samsung is expanding software update policies to cover more device categories, including TVs and other smart appliances, ensuring a more unified Galaxy ecosystem. Stay tuned for the stable One UI 8 release later this month.
