Breaking! Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 get One UI 8 Beta

Alongside the Galaxy S24 series, Samsung has launched the One UI 8 beta program for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6. The rollout comes right on schedule after the company’s earlier confirmation that the beta would begin this week. It plans another wave of beta expansion in the coming weeks, covering the Galaxy S23 series, Fold 5, Flip 5, and more devices.
One UI 8 beta is now available for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6
Last week, Samsung announced a massive expansion of its Android 16-based One UI 8 software’s beta program. The Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 were among the devices supposed to get beta updates this week in India, South Korea, the US, and the UK. Users in Korea can now register through the Samsung Members app, with the betaprogram expected to go live in other markets shortly. The update carries the build version ZYH4.
If you are using a Fold 6 or Flip 6 in any of these countries and want to join the One UI 8 beta, you can enroll via the Samsung Members app. Look out for a banner about the beta program and follow the on-screen instructions to register your foldable. Once registered successfully, wait a few minutes and go to Settings > Software update > Download and install to upgrade your foldable to One UI 8.
Built on Android 16, this update introduces enhanced Galaxy AI features, improved multitasking for large-screen devices, and further refinements to Samsung’s foldable-optimized interface. You can also expect better performance, smoother animations, and optimizations aimed at improving battery life.
If feedback from testers is positive and no major problems arise, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 could see the stable One UI 8 update roll out by October this year. Samsung has already announced a stable release for the Galaxy S25 series in September. It has been beta testing the update on its 2025 flagships since late June and has released four beta builds so far.
