Brace Your Wallet: Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 May Cost More

Samsung’s next Unpacked event is just two weeks away, and as anticipation builds for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7, so do concerns about pricing. Early rumors hinted that Samsung might raise the cost of its upcoming foldables, and a new leak from Europe now makes that possibility seem very real, at least in select markets. Brace yourself — we might be in for a big price hike.
Price leak for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 reveals a steep hike
According to listings spotted by NieuweMobiel on an Italian electronics retailer’s website, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 could see noticeable price increases over their predecessors. The Fold model starts at €2,227 for the 256GB storage variant, while the Flip costs €1,425 for its 512GB model. These prices represent a €200 and €100 bump for the devices, respectively. Given that Samsung typically maintains similar pricing across European Union countries, it’s safe to assume customers across the continent will face similar sticker shock.
However, it’s unclear if the company will increase prices in other markets, like the US. Some reports suggest it may stick with the same launch pricing as last year — $1,899 for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and $1,099 for the Flip 7. That said, a future price adjustment can’t be ruled out as US import tariffs loom large. To recall, Samsung increased its foldable prices by $100 in the US last year.
Other regions, such as Asia and the Middle East, may also see varied pricing strategies, but leaks for those markets haven’t surfaced yet. We’ll know for sure when Samsung officially unveils the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 at its Unpacked event on July 9. Until then, potential buyers in Europe may want to brace for a higher price tag on Samsung’s next-gen foldables. It will be interesting to see Samsung’s pricing strategy for the “affordable” Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE.
