Beeper Will Pay You $50K to Connect It to New Chat Service

Beeper aims to make messaging simple by bringing all your conversations into one place, regardless of what app you use. The platform has now announced a bounty program where you can earn up to $50K. For this, you will need to build a bridge that connects Beeper to a new chat service.

Beeper wants your help to connect more chat Apps

Beeper already supports a host of popular messaging platforms, including WhatsApp, Instagram, Telegram, Google Messages, Google Chat, Google Voice, Messenger, Signal, LinkedIn, X, Discord, and Slack. But that’s not enough to make Beeper the one app for all conversations, so the company is working to bring even more messaging apps to its platform.

To do that, Beeper is inviting developers to create new bridges. In its blog post, Beeper wrote, “Build a bridge using our Matrix bridgev2 interface in Golang for any of the following networks, permissively license it and we’ll pay you a bounty up to $50k.”

The networks Beeper is targeting include WeChat, Snapchat, Microsoft Teams, Viber, Line, Bumble, Tinder, and Hinge. When you send a message through Beeper to someone on WhatsApp, Telegram, or another chat app, it uses a Matrix bridge. This allows the system to translate messages between Matrix and that chat network. Beeper supports 11 chat networks with integrated bridges, running either on your device or in the cloud. In July, the multi-service messaging app introduced a Beeper Plus tier starting at $9.99 per month. With it, you can connect up to 10 accounts, including up to 3 accounts from the same network (Beeper On-Device only). Furthermore, you get a bunch of new features such as Send Later and Reminders. The former lets you schedule messages to send at the right time, while the latter helps you follow up on chats.
