Last week, Samsung launched the One UI 8.5 beta program for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7. Now, the company may be gearing up for its next round of software testing. The first One UI 8.5 beta build for the Galaxy S24 series has appeared on its internal test servers, hinting that a public rollout may not be far off.

First signs of One UI 8.5 Beta emerge for the Galaxy S24 series

Samsung started One UI 8.5 beta testing in late 2025. Over the past few months, it has released seven beta builds for the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra. It also recently launched the Galaxy S26 series with One UI 8.5 out of the box. However, beta testing continues for the S25 lineup.

The company also expanded the beta program to foldables last week and is now preparing to launch beta for the Galaxy S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra. The first internal beta build for these devices carries firmware version ZZCB (via X). While Samsung hasn’t officially announced the One UI 8.5 beta for the S24 lineup yet, server listings like this usually precede a rollout by days or weeks, not months.

In other words, Galaxy S24 users could soon get an opportunity to test the upcoming update. However, Samsung is unlikely to launch the beta program widely. Even for the Galaxy S25 series, beta is limited to India, South Korea, Germany, Poland, the UK, and the US. If you live in one of these regions and are interested in trying One UI 8.5 out early, it’s worth keeping an eye on the Samsung Members app over the coming days.

The stable One UI 8.5 update may arrive later this month or in early April, starting with the Galaxy S25 series. We will let you know when Samsung begins the rollout.
