Samsung may be close to rolling out the stable One UI 8.5 update for the Galaxy S25 series. A new stable firmware build with the latest security patch has surfaced on the company’s servers, suggesting that final testing is underway. If everything goes well, the update could arrive later this month. However, Samsung is also testing new beta builds in some regions, so if the software needs further refinements, the stable release could see a delay.

Stable One UI 8.5 firmware spotted for Galaxy S25 lineup

Samsung leaker @tarunvats33 recently spotted a new One UI 8.5 firmware build for the Galaxy S25 trio carrying version CZC9 on Samsung’s servers. The stable build appeared in India, Europe, and the US, complete with the March 2026 security patch, which has yet to roll out to any Galaxy devices. This suggests that the company is preparing for the stable One UI 85 update for the 2025 flagship lineup.

That said, the source also spotted a new One UI 8.5 beta build for the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra on Samsung’s servers in Korea. This likely means the company hasn’t finalized whether the next release will be the stable version or Beta 7. Samsung is basically testing the update, and if it detects bugs or stability issues, we may see one more beta version before the final rollout. We should get a clearer picture soon.

Samsung has also been preparing to launch One UI 8.5 beta programs for more devices, including foldables. While the Galaxy S25 series has already received six public beta builds, One UI 8.5 testing for other models has been an internal affair so far. We could see the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Flip 7, and a few others get beta access before the end of this month. Whether the Galaxy S25 series also grabs the stable version this month remains to be seen.
