Are you eyeing the Galaxy S26 series for your next smartphone upgrade but worried about a possible price hike? There’s some good news for buyers in the US. A fresh leak suggests that Samsung could keep prices flat stateside. If true, this would be a surprise, as smartphone makers are struggling with increasing memory chip prices.

Galaxy S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra prices in the US leaked

Samsung is reportedly considering a price hike for the Galaxy S26 series, at least in the home market, South Korea. For example, the 1TB Galaxy S26 Ultra model could see a price increase of about 20% compared to the same storage configuration of its predecessor, Galaxy S25 Ultra. Thankfully, customers in the US could remain immune from these increases.

According to noted tipster Anthony, the Galaxy S26 series may launch at the same starting prices as last year’s models. The base Galaxy S26 could cost $799, while the Galaxy S26+ may hit stores at $999. Meanwhile, the Galaxy S26 Ultra may retail at $1,299.

Another piece of good news is that the base Galaxy S26 could ship with 256GB storage (standard). This doubles the 128GB that came with the previous generation. If this pans out, buyers will get higher storage capacity at last year’s base-model price. This may make the starting price even more appealing.

Hopefully, Samsung does not cut one of its most popular pre-order perks, free storage upgrade, as previously rumored. The company has already confirmed that markets like India and the UK will continue to enjoy this benefit during the pre-order period. However, Samsung has not confirmed yet whether the same offer will be available to buyers in the US.

Meanwhile, the tipster claims that Samsung could unveil the Galaxy Buds 4 Pro at $249 in the US. An earlier report suggests the base Galaxy Buds 4 could cost around $179. These are the same prices as the previous generation (Buds 3 Pro and Buds 3, respectively). So, there may be no price hike for the next-gen wireless earbuds as well, at least in the US.
