Galaxy M06, M33, F06 Inch One Step Closer to One UI 8.5 Update

Samsung has now tested the upcoming One UI 8.5 update for almost all eligible Galaxy devices. Only a few models are left at this point. Recently, Samsung expanded One UI 8.5 internal testing to three budget phones: the Galaxy M06, Galaxy M33, and Galaxy F06.
Galaxy M06, M33 and F06 spotted with One UI 8.5 test builds
Samsung has started internal testing of One UI 8.5 for the Galaxy M06. The test firmware has appeared on Samsung’s servers in India and carries the build version M066BXXU4CZA7. As usual, this does not mean the update will roll out anytime soon. Internal test builds only confirm that the company has started working on the Android 16 QPR2-based software for the device.

Its F-series counterpart, the Galaxy F06, has also appeared with a One UI 8.5 test build. The device carries the build version E066BXXU4CZA7 and has been spotted on Samsung’s test servers in India and Sri Lanka.

The Galaxy M33 has also been spotted with a One UI 8.5 test build. The device equips the build version M336KKSUDHZB1 and the firmware has appeared on Samsung’s servers in South Korea (h/t: GustavoTechnologia). One UI 8.5 will mark the last major feature update for the Galaxy M33. After this, the phone will only receive security updates for a limited time and is unlikely to get Android 17.
One UI 8.5 is expected to bring noticeable UI refinements, visual improvements, and new features across supported Galaxy devices. The Galaxy S26 series, expected to launch later this month, will mark the stable debut of One UI 8.5. A few weeks after the launch, Samsung should begin rolling out the update to eligible models, starting with the Galaxy S25 lineup. Midrange and budget models should see the release later on, mostly by mid-April or early May.
If your Galaxy device received One UI 8, it should receive One UI 8.5 as well. We will keep you updated with the latest test builds and rollout details.
