Samsung Galaxy S26, S26+ Specs: What These Phones Offer

Samsung has unveiled its next-generation Galaxy S series with several meaningful upgrades. While all eyes are on the Galaxy S26 Ultra, the S26 and S26+ also attract mainstream users with their design, solid performance, software experience, and more. Here’s a key specs of the two upcoming flagship models.
Design and Display
Both the Galaxy S26 and S26+ adopt a familiar design with flat displays, curved corners, and uniform bezels. They feature a centered hole-punch camera, giving the screens a clean look. The rear cameras sit within a raised, vertical, pill-shaped module. This makes them different from their predecessors’ floating-ring layout.
While the Galaxy S26 and S26+ look identical in design, the main noticeable difference lies in their size. The former features a 6.3-inch Full HD+ Dynamic AMOLED display, while the latter boasts a 6.7-inch QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED display. In comparison, the Galaxy S25 features a 6.2-inch screen, meaning the S26 is slightly larger. The S26+ maintains the same larger screen as the S25+.
The Galaxy S26 measures 149.6 x 71.7 x 7.2mm and weighs 167 g. So, it is slightly taller and wider than the S25 (146.9 x 70.5 x 7.2 mm). The Galaxy S26+ has the same dimensions and weight as its predecessor: 158.4 x 75.8 x 7.3mm and 190 g.
Camera and Processor
Both Galaxy S26 and S26+ feature the same rear and front camera setup. The rear cameras include a 50MP main lens, a 12MP ultrawide sensor, and a 10MP telephoto unit. On the front, they feature a 12MP lens. These are the same setup as their predecessors. Of course, software tweaks should help improve image quality.
Under the hood, both the Galaxy S26 and S26+ offer high-end performance. In markets like Europe, the phones feature the Exynos 2600 chip, while other regions, including the US, get the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip. They come with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage as the base configuration.
Battery and Software
The Galaxy S26 packs a 4,300 mAh battery with support for 25W wired charging. This is 300 mAh more than the S25’s 4000 mAh capacity, with no upgrade in the charging speeds. On the other hand, the Galaxy S26+ features a 4,900 mAh battery with support for 45W wired charging. The battery capacity and charging speed are similar to those of the S25+. The good news is that the Plus model sees an upgrade in wireless charging support: from 15W to 20W.
In the software department, Samsung ships the Galaxy S26 and S26+ with Android 16-based One UI 8.5 skin. The latest build should improve the software experience with cutting-edge AI features and a more modern interface across the board.
