A few days ago, a mysterious Samsung smartphone called the Galaxy F70e 5G appeared in a certification listing. The branding didn’t align with any existing Galaxy lineup, raising questions about its identity. It turns out the company is preparing a new camera-focused budget series under the Galaxy F70 umbrella, with the Galaxy F70e set to debut as the first model.

Samsung officially confirms the Galaxy F70e 5G, teasers live

Samsung has officially started teasing the Galaxy F70e (5G) in India. A couple of teasers posted on X show the device’s dual rear camera system and a faux leather back in blue and green finishes. “Moments gonna light up,” the first teaser says. “Power gonna level up,” the other adds. Samsung’s captions suggest top-notch cameras and everyday performance.

These teasers suggest the Galaxy F70e is built to stand out, especially when it comes to photography and performance. We do not have the full specs yet, not even camera details, but the company has seemingly tailor-made this device with a specific group of users in mind. The faux leather back gives it a premium look, though the handset is likely to come with a modest price tag.

Additionally, the aforementioned certification listing suggested that the Galaxy F70e will pack MediaTek’s Dimensity 6300 chipset with 4GB of RAM. It may ship with Android 16-based One UI 8 out of the box and feature a 720p display. The device could share some of the specs with the Galaxy A07 5G.

Thankfully, we won’t have to wait much longer to see what Samsung is cooking. The Galaxy F70e will launch in India on Monday, February 2. It’s unclear whether the device will be available to purchase on the same day, though it appears the company will sell it exclusively through Flipkart, one of India’s leading e-commerce platforms. We do not know anything about the Galaxy F70e’s availability in other markets yet.
